Quizalofop-ethyl 10% EC
Chemical Composition: Quizalofop-ethyl (a.i.) 10% w/w,Emulsifier:-Sorpol (Blend of polyoxyethylene alkyl phenyl ether and alkyl benzene sulfonates) 32.00% w/w, Solvent :- Solvesso (C-8/C-9 aromatic hydrocarbon solvent Q.S. %, Total 100% w/w
Recommendations: Quinzalofop ethyl 5% EC based on ethyl 2-(4-(6-chloroquinoxalin-2-yloxy) phenoxy) propionate, is a selective post emergence herbicide for the effective control of grassy weed in soybean, cotton, groundnut, black gram and onion crops.
Not to be used on crops other than specified on this Label/Leaflet.
Direction of Use:
- Preparation of spray :- Add slowly the required quantity of herbicide to water and stir well with a rod or stick till it is properly emulsified.
- Spraying Instruction:
1. Shake the bottle before use.
2. Spray uniformly.
3. Do not spray against wind direction.
4. Wash the sprayer thoroughly with water before and after use.
Method and time of application:
- Spray with the help of knapsack sprayer fitted with flat fan nozzle on soybean at 20-24 days after sowing,
- on cotton at 15-27 days after sowing,
- on groundnut at 19-25 days after sowing,
- on black gram at 14-22 days after sowing and
- on onion at 13-27 days after transplanting.
Plant protection equipment: Knapsack sprayer fitted with flat fan nozzle is recommended to apply the herbicide.
Precautions:
1. Keep away from food stuffs, empty foodstuff containers and animal food.
2. Avoid contact with mouth, eyes and skin. Do not mix with bare hands.
3. Avoid inhalation with spray mist. Spray in the direction of wind.
4. Do not smoke, eat, drink and chew anything while spraying.
5. Wear full protective clothing e.g. hand gloves, goggles and face mask while mixing and spraying.
6. Wash thoroughly the contaminated clothes and parts of body after spraying.
Antidote: No specific antidote. Gastric lavage at early stage is recommended. Treat symptomatically.
First Aid:
1. If inhaled, remove the patient to fresh air immediately. If not breathing, give artificial respiration preferably by mouth.
2. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Give large quantity fo water for drinking. Never give anything through mouth to an unconscious person.
3. If skin is contaminated wash with plenty of soap and water.
4. In case of eyes contamination, immediately flush with a steady stream of water for at least 15 minutes.
Symptoms: No specific symptoms of poisoning. Lethargy, Headache, Nausea, Giddiness, Vomiting and Anxiety may occur.
